What was Refine?

Refine was an incubator for new alignment "research bets". Since no approach to solving alignment is very promising right now, the purpose of this was to come up with highly varied new ideas, to make it more likely that at least one will work.

Refine was shut down after one round, passing the torch to SERI MATS.
